Gitte Hanegraaf started working as a sustainable energy consultant at Pondera in September 2022. She dedicates herself to projects within the Environment and Spatial Planning team where she employs her multidisciplinary background, willingness to learn and open mindset. As a result of her academic background, Gitte has gained experience in the social aspects of renewable energy projects. As a consultant, she is involved in feasibility studies and drafting environmental impact assessments, as well as other tasks. Sustainability and climate change mitigation are key topics for Gitte, and she is passionate about bringing projects to a successful completion in order to accelerate the energy transition.
Education
Gitte completed her master’s degree in International Development Studies at Utrecht University in 2022. During this study, she focused mainly on the sociological aspect of the energy transition. Prior to that, she attended the bachelor’s programme Arts & Culture with a major in Political Culture at Maastricht University. During her bachelor, she focused on the social geographical themes of globalisation, social inequality and sustainability.
