As of July 1st 2019, Ton Huijben joined the team of Pondera in the position of advisor / site manager. He is accessible, direct and relies om his own strength. Ton is in his element on large projects and loves a challenge. Together with a skilled team Ton has supervision of the construction of various renewable wind and solar energy projects. Ton is also involved in many issues which are related to technology, quality, health, welfare, safety and environment. (QHSE). Ton has over 20 years of experience and in his last position as site manager for an environmental contractor he was deployed throughout Western Europe. Through his years of experience with clients in the pharmaceutical, (Petro) chemical and food industries, which hold a high quality / safety standards, Ton has experience in realization of projects and HSE. He has extensive experience in preparation and implementation of refrigeration and environmental projects. Knowledge he can use well during the development and construction phase of renewable energy projects. Ton wants to play an active role in the development of a healthy, but above all, safe work environment so that projects can be successful. With that he uses his core values: safety, commitment, openness and accountability.
Education and former employers
Ton has graduated on MTS Car Mechanics in 1989. He has experience and knowledge gained through education and training. In his previous role as site manager at Hannover Milieu- en Veiligheidstechniek B.V., a daughter company of Antea Group, Ton has managed several big thermal in-situ soil remediation and air purification projects. Ton has extensive experience in preparing, implementing and QHSE projects. Some of the clients that Ton has devoted himself to are Monsanto GlaksoSmithKline, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Total, BASF, Bayer, Caldic, Philips and Coca-Cola.
