I would like to invite you to read my blog. The reason for this blog is the publication of a series of articles in the media entitled: Energy of the future. In a nutshell, readers are informed about the consequences for nature and the landscape and the nuisance for the environment due to the arrival of solar and wind farms. In my opinion, the series could have been made more nuanced by also involving experts who work on sustainable energy projects in the creation of the series. The development of sustainable energy projects requires proper substantiation and consideration of interests. When asked ‘directly, most people are in favour of making energy production more sustainable, but as soon as it becomes more real, it gets more divisive. That is why it is very important to enter into a dialogue about this in an honest and responsible manner. I call on journalists to do more on fact-finding, rebuttal and immersion. After all, it is in everyone’s interest!
