to drive the energy transition forward

Pondera

Pondera Consult was founded in 2007. As a relatively young company, founded on a wealth of experience, we contribute with our clients to sustainable solutions to energy, climate and environmental issues. This includes large and small projects in the field of solar and wind energy on land and at sea, hydrogen and energy storage. Worldwide, but especially in Europe, we are involved in more and more sustainable energy projects as an advisor, as a partner of large energy companies and as an investor in our own projects.

We are growing!

We are looking for people to grow with us and help realize Pondera’s ambitions in the field of energy transition. Within the projects, this particularly concerns the phases following the initial developments of sustainable energy projects. The permit has already been obtained and now you start working on the implementation of the project.

On our projects, you will be part of the Contracting, Construction and Operation team. In daily practice, you will not be on an isolated basis and will collaborate with colleagues from the Environment and Spatial Planning team, for example in the area of permits and the Technical Team where data analysis and modelling take place.

What are we looking for?

A hands-on project manager (developing or more or less experienced) who knows how to manage a team and uses his knowledge to understand what steps need to be taken to realise a project. This could include (large-scale) projects for solar energy on land or on water, wind energy on land or at sea, energy storage with batteries or otherwise, namely large-scale electrical infrastructure or converting electricity to hydrogen or ammonia, for example.

Who are we looking for?

You are the driven project manager (or you want to become one) who really moves projects forward, who takes the initiative and defines the lines and knows how to get all the stakeholders ‘moving in the same direction’. You derive satisfaction from thinking in terms of solutions, going the extra mile together with skilled and enthusiastic colleagues in order to ultimately deliver a project.

For this role, experience is great, but not required. Do you have experience in managing sustainable energy projects or would you like to learn this with us? Even without work experience, you probably will know for yourself if you enjoy it and have the talent to move things forward. If you know how to motivate and (eventually) manage people and want to use your knowledge and skills to take the right steps to realise a project, we are looking for you. Whether you are junior, medior or senior: we have a suitable role and corresponding terms of employment for everyone.

What does this job involve?

Specifically, your work consists of following market developments, maintaining and expanding your network, (helping) to draw up offers and supervising the execution of projects. You enter into new relationships and actively maintain existing ones. You create leads and write offers. Depending on your experience, you will have a more or less independent role to manage the project and maintain contact with the client. You will work together in a team and will (help) manage contractors and possibly colleagues within the set frameworks.

Projects mainly take place in the Netherlands, but increasingly also abroad.

Knowledge and skills required

We would like to meet someone who:

  • is particularly enthusiastic about what is described above;
  • has completed a technical academic education;
  • has experience as a project leader in the realisation of projects;
  • has the right attitude: someone who pursues matters themselves, dares to ask questions, likes to learn, thinks outside the box, is enthusiastic and enterprising and feels a strong sense of responsibility for the work being done;
  • would like to develop further in the field of energy transition;
  • has good communication skills in Dutch and English.

What do we offer?

Besides working at our 16 years young company, where there is every freedom to develop yourself and where job satisfaction is truly important, we offer:

  • a good salary and fringe benefits, such as laptop, telephone, excellent pension scheme and a good travel/home office allowance;
  • working with a young, expert and driven team of professionals, who also organise activities together after work, such as drinks, dinners and the annual winter (sports) holiday
  • ample development opportunities in a growing organisation and market;
  • a multitude and variety of sustainable energy projects we are proud to work on;
  • a modern architect-designed office right next to Arnhem Central Station; hybrid working was something we did long before corona and is nothing new to us;
  • a lease car or lease bike in accordance with Pondera’s mobility scheme;
  • the possibility to participate in the company by acquiring certificates.
