Annemarie Kristen joined Pondera in 2018 after a junior role with the government. She consciously chose this sector. As an initiator of the wind turbine initiative ‘Wind for Neighbours’, Annemarie is an experienced expert. In addition, Annemarie has extensive experience with administrative dynamics and complex administrative processes. She monitors the interests of all partners and has experience in translating local and regional ambitions into policy and organising environmental management.
Within Pondera, Annemarie is responsible for projects in the field of sustainable energy and the living environment in the role of consultant and project manager. These usually take the form of feasibility studies, permit applications and permit and environment management.
Education, training and previous employers
Annemarie graduated from the Enschede Technical University in 1987, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. She worked as a project leader in environment and chemistry at Tebodin Consulting Engineers from 1987 to 1990. During that time she completed courses in Advanced Acoustics in Antwerp.
In 1990, she started working at the municipality of Hengelo, first as a policy advisor and later as a supervisor on many different environmental issues, such as soil, sound, air, waste and public safety. Annemarie switched from the technical to the social domain in 2012, when she supported several municipalities implementing a new healthcare law. Her experience in administrative dynamics and democratic workplace organizational processes stems from this period. In 2015, she started working as a process supervisor for the Safety Region Twente.
In the meantime, Annemarie has successfully completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).
