Maarten Sosef started working at Pondera as a Renewable Energy Consultant in 2019. With his broad interests, technical skills and open attitude, he commits himself to a variety of projects. Maarten is motivated by meticulous work while focusing on the bigger picture to realise future-proof solutions to environmental and technical problems. He hopes in this way to contribute to the energy transition.
Education, training and previous employers
Maarten studied Science and Innovation Management (as a major in the Liberal Arts and Sciences Bachelor) at Utrecht University (2014). He became increasingly aware of the need and urgency for a transition to a sustainable society. The multidisciplinary character of his education has allowed him to better understand the complexity of the problems underlying the sustainable transition. Maarten obtained his Master’s Degree in Energy Science from the University of Utrecht, with the intention to contribute to long-term energy solutions. Researching a wide variety of energy conversion techniques at the thermodynamic level has taught him methods to solve a variety of sustainability problems.
