Martijn is an adviser who knows how to pay proper attention to both content and process. Due to his background in public administration and his experience with IWACO (later Royal Haskoning), the municipality of Heerenveen and currently Pondera, Martijn possesses broad expertise relating to the environment, energy and sustainability. This expertise and experience involve policy development, the concrete realisation of projects and ensuring compliance with substantive requirements.
Within Pondera, Martijn’s core task is providing leadership and supervision for decision-making processes and stakeholder management, as well as drafting reports for the realisation of wind frams (including feasibility, environmental impact assessments and permits). For a great many of these projects, he also ensures permit compliance during the construction phase. Martijn also bears responsibility for the documentation of the project funding of several large-scale wind farms (>100 MW) in connection with due diligence. As a result, Martijn is equally at home in all phases of large-scale wind energy projects: development, funding and construction.
He is an enthusiastic individual with a very open character. This open approach to communication, combined with his positive attitude, allow Martijn to hold his own in complex processes and challenging situations – and to continue to serve the interests of his client. He also effectively combines an eye for professional quality with attention to its context, whether that be relationships within public administration or decision-making processes. Martijn maintains a focus on both the desired result and the best subsequent step for his client.
