Paul Janssen has been on board at Pondera since 2009, and in recent years has expanded the Environment and Consenting / Spatial Planning team. As a team manager, he is responsible for leading a group of about twenty consultants. In addition, he is the deputy director of Pondera Consult, a role he has assumed since October 2021. Prior to this, he concentrated on the long-term development of Pondera.

In addition to his managerial role, Paul remains active as a consultant in the more complex and strategic projects that Pondera undertakes. His expertise is primarily in complex issues surrounding the energy transition, in policy advice, permit procedures (including environmental impact assessments and permits) and in connecting the appropriate people in such processes.

Paul uses his skills to quickly switch between the administrative, legal and technical side of an issue. ‘Bringing a complex puzzle to a successful conclusion, together with my team and the client, is what excites me. Especially when I can point my team members in the right direction and motivate them to get the best out of themselves’.

Paul spends his weekends or vacations on his mountain bike or in a whitewater kayak.
