Why lidar measurements?

A wind measurement campaign is crucial for your wind project because it provides accurate wind speed and direction data at various heights. This is essential for assessing your site's wind resource potential, ensuring maximum energy production and ensuring project efficiency. Lidar technology offers a cost-effective and flexible alternative to traditional met masts, reducing environmental impact while delivering precise measurements. With a measurement campaign of 12 months, you will be able to capture seasonal variations and hence reduce wind speed uncertainties and increase the reliability of your business case.
 

What do we offer?

We give away 6 free months of a 12-month campaign of a TR6-validated lidar for an onshore wind project in Germany. The campaign will include a final bankable Wind Resource Assessment report, which will be TR6 compliant. Further project-specific details will be discussed upon prize award.
Among the runners-up of the raffle, we give away two free 12-month virtual LiDAR campaigns with LES runs, which include an analysis report and a graphical presentation of the wind flow across your wind farm site. This is especially interesting if your wind farm is planned in complex terrain.
