Invitation WIND EUROPE 2017 Conference and Exhibition in Amsterdam

November 28th – 30th 2017

Pondera is present this year at the WindEurope 2017 in Amsterdam on the 28th – 30th of November.

Wind is now the fastest growing energy source in the world, and is full of innovation and unprecedented ambition, hence more than 8000 visitors visit this fair in the RAI Amsterdam.

Visit our stand at the Dutch Village

You are welcome at our stand at the Dutch Village in Hall 2 of the RAI. We would like to discuss the following topics with you:

  • Mergers & acquisitions – energy projects are regularly sold of which some wholly and some partially. Pondera¬†knows the market of supply and demand and provides purchase and sales processes;
  • Hybrid projects: wind, sun and storage – optimizing different techniques;
  • Offshore 2023: we are happy to inform you about the upcoming tenders.

We would like to welcome you at our stand in the Dutch Village in hall 2, number 2C54c.

Make an appointment for your stand visit and visit our Expert meeting ‘Experience from the Borssele tenders’

Throughout the day you are welcome to visit our stand. If you would like to speak to one of our consultants, we recommend that you schedule an appointment. You can contact Carola Roescher tel. +31 6 14 97 94 09,

Pondera and Stibbe organize the expert meeting on the Future of global and European offshore wind – November 28th, 2017. You and your colleagues are welcome at Stibbe on Zuidas in Amsterdam only a 10 minutes walk from the RAI. A nice meal is provided.

Pondera starts its first wind measurement campaign

With the purchase of a ZephIR 300 Pondera will soon start with its first wind measurement campaign. The ZephIR 300 is a Lidar: a device which measures the wind speed at various heights using laser beams. Wind measurements at the project location are an increasingly important part of a thorough wind resource assessment and are often indispensable in obtaining project financing.

In the coming period, the Lidar will first be used to improve the yield forecast of a wind farm in the North of the Netherlands. Pondera is happy with the purchase and hopes to be able to carry out many successful measurement campaigns in the coming years.

Pondera supports development solar farms Nijmegen

Following the work that Pondera Consult carried out for Wind Farm Nijmegen-Betuwe along the A15 in Nijmegen, developer Wiek-II asked Pondera to support the development of two solar farms in Nijmegen. The solar farmDe Grift, near the existing wind farm, is about 5 hectares in size and is planned to be located close to the most eastern wind turbine. The solar farm was taken into account in the electrical infrastructure of the wind farm. The solar farm is electrically connected via a wind turbine, so only one cable goes to the electricity grid (cable pooling). Wiek-II also aims to develop solar farm Duitse Bocht, loacated next to the motorway A73 in the municipality of Nijmegen. Pondera is also supporting Wiek II for realization of this solar farm.

Pondera disngs solar farms and researches its effects on ecology, archaeology, energy yield and many other sectors. Pondera also draws up the required permits and the spatial foundation.

Pondera consults wind development along A16

The Province of North Brabant has chosen the preferred alternative for wind energy along the A16. This means that Pondera Consult also advises in the coming phase in the further realization of various wind developments along the A16. Pondera Consult has been asked by Rijkswaterstaat to provide support in the search for suitable locations and to help with the steps that must be taken to realize the wind turbines. “We want to congratulate the initiators, whose wind turbines are part of the preferred alternative with this milestone. The Province has indicated clear frameworks and it is now up to the developers to give further shape form, in consultation. It is a nice challenge that we can help as a consultancy firm and make the overall energy management a little bit more sustainable, “says Maarten Jaspers Faijer, who is involved in the development of the wind turbines on the grounds of Rijkswaterstaat.

Iconic island Sumba: future for wind energy?

President Director Chandra Soemitro and Mrs. Vivian Liando from Hywind and Director from Pondera Hans Rijntalder visiting beaches to perform beach landings with equipment and wind turbine parts.

The Indonesian governments aims to develop Sumba island in a sustainable way using its abundant sources of renewable energy, such as wind energy. Goal is to achieve 95% renewable energy in 2020. Hywind Energy is developing a wind project at Sumba to contribute to that goal. On 2 November 2017 Hywind and Pondera visited the island to investigate the logistical challenges to install modern and large wind turbines on Sumba.
