Charlie has an inquisitive and approachable personality when he is facing a renewable energy project. He likes to be a bridge where people and project meet to cooperate together and help them to approach the goal to make the world as renewable. As a consultant and relation manager, Charlie is responsible for the communicating and associating of renewable energy projects. Charlie has over 5 years of experience as an adviser and project relation manager of medium and large scale offshore wind projects. His good relation with clients in the financial institutions allows him to apply the same high standards in the field of renewable energy. He is also well experienced in the risk management of renewable energy projects as an insurance specialist. Charlie started at Pondera Consult in 2019 to further develop himself as a project manager. Charlie is experienced with international contracts of multinational clients to customize and minimize the operation risk. This is knowledge he can to good use in Pondera’s projects. Charlie wants to contribute himself in the initial stage of offshore wind energy to be successful model in Asia. Charlie’s core values are harmony, continuous trust and responsibility.
Education, training and previous employers
Charlie graduated in 1996 with a degree in applied statistics at Konkuk university in Seoul. After graduating, he started as an underwriter at Samsung Fire & Marine insurance company. Charlie gained key experience in the risk assessment of construction and commercial operation in terms of renewal energy projects. Many of his former clients were financial institutions such as Shinhan Bank, MiraeAsset Securities, and IBK Bank.
