Tom started in June 2021 as a junior sustainable energy advisor within the Environment and Spatial Planning team. Tom likes to use his inquisitive attitude, knowledge and enthusiasm to contribute to various projects within Pondera. Tom is involved in the different facets of projects such as feasibility studies, GIS analyses and has experience with the social aspects of renewable energy projects. Of course, Tom also attaches great importance to limiting climate change. His drive to accelerate the energy transition motivates him to bring our sustainable energy projects to a successful conclusion.
Education and experience
Tom graduated in 2020 with a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Science, Management & Innovation at Radboud University Nijmegen. During his bachelor’s degree, Tom also completed a minor Global challenges, Science & Entrepreneurship by taking specific courses on global issues and climate change. In his master’s, he focused even more on climate and energy issues. For example, for one of his theses he wrote about the life cycle assessment (LCA) of concentrated solar power (CSP) against other energy sources. He wrote his graduation research about the social acceptance of wind farms by local residents for the province of Gelderland.
