Jelle has started in March 2024 as Sustainable Energy Advisor in the team Environment & Spatial Planning. Based on his background in biology and sustainability, Jelle brings an innovative perspective towards the energy transition. He stands out for his focus on innovation, which enables him to find creative solutions to complex problems.
Jelle is convinced that the transition to sustainable energy is essential for creating a livable future for generations to come. This drives him to make a social contribution to the energy transition. At Pondera, Jelle’s tasks include environmental impact assessments, GIS analyses and environmental permits for various forms of renewable energy, including floating solar and wind farms. With his curious and enthusiastic attitude, he quickly makes himself familiar with new projects.
Education and employers
Jelle earned his bachelor’s degree in Medical Biology from Radboud University in Nijmegen in 2019, followed by his master’s degree in Medical Biology in 2022. During his master he focused on sustainability issues in the medical sector, including performing a life cycle analysis (LCA) for the (re)distribution of valuable medication. During his studies, he gained experience in policy development and participation. After working for a year as a practicum and teacher support officer at his former study, Jelle now wants to delve further into energy transition.
