Pondera has been commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate to draw up the Environmental Impact Report, an appropriate assessment and the test on species for the newly to be issued Nederwiek I (south) wind energy site.
Research is being conducted into the effects of a wind farm of 2 to 2.3 GW. Joost Sissingh (Poundera project leader): “We are very pleased to be involved in the research that should lead to a responsible and well-considered choice to realise a wind farm in the Nederwiek wind energy area. We are pleased to be able to expand our established trackrecord for impact assessments of offshore wind.”
Pondera has been involved in research into the effects of wind farms since the Borssele wind energy area – the first wind farm to be parceled out in the Netherlands. And actually much earlier, when we carried out research on behalf of developers who themselves applied for a permit for an offshore wind farm. When researching the effects of a wind farm in Nederwiek I (south), Pondera collaborates with specialists such as Waardenburg Ecology and Marin, who help with calculations to determine the effects as accurately as possible. According to planning, the wind farm in Nederwiek I (south) will be commissioned in 2030.
