Energiepark Pottendijk

At one of the wind locations in the municipality of Emmen, a wind farm of 14 wind turbines with an installed capacity of up to 50.5 MW and a solar park of approx. 30 hectares is being developed, collectively called Pottendijk Energy Park. Pondera guided the EIA procedure for the Energy Park and submitted the permit applications for the wind farm. In addition, Pondera provided the wind measurements (LiDAR campaign). The solar and wind yield study carried out with the aid of these measurement data contributes to the risk reduction and thus the cost reduction of the park. Pondera supervised the sale of Pottendijk energy park through an extensive tender process. Pondera then guided the sale of Energiepark Pottendijk through an extensive tender, from which Shell emerged as the buyer.

Also after the sale we remained intensively involved during the realization phase. On behalf of new owner Shell, Pondera took care of the permit management and provided two site managers to supervise and monitor the construction on behalf of the owner. The project is nearing completion at the end of 2022 and is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2023. Pondera is proud to have been involved in this project from the preparation of the permit applications to construction and realization.
