In the Lithse polder in the municipalities of Oss and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, some 80 agricultural companies have planned to set up a large-scale wind farm with an indicative size of approximately 100 MW – 150 MW. Since 2015, the farmers have been working closely together to not only develop a wind farm, but also to distribute the project’s drawbacks and benefits in a unique way. The municipalities of Oss and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, together with the province of North Brabant, have now designated the area as a search area for sustainable energy and are working together to get it regulated by the government under the heading De Duurzame Polder. The Wind Collective is actively cooperating with the authorities involved.  Pondera has been working with the Oss – Den Bosch Wind Collective since 2017 and initially supported the set up of the collective in terms of the organisational structure and drawing up the area contract. The first steps have been taken to prepare the permit applications: environmental analyses, feasibility study, wind measurements, participation and ecological research.
