EIA Appropriate Assessment sites, Hollandse Kust (zuid)

For the wind energy area of Hollandse Kust (zuid), Pondera prepared an EIA, Appropriate Assessment and a list of species (under the Flora & Fauna Act), on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Rijkswaterstaat. Documentation will be prepared in order to take decisions on the land use of four parcels in the offshore wind energy area. The primary points for attention will be ecology (birds, bats, underwater life), experience (the view from the shore), shipping safety and the effect of wind energy on other user functions. It is crucial that the future initiator retain sufficient freedom of choice with regard to how to use the parcels. For that reason, effects will be determined based on a range of possibilities within the parcels to be developed.
