Jeju Hanlim

Jeju Hanlim Offshore Wind Co, a project consortium consisting of the companies Kepco Engineering and Construction, Komipo, Dealim and Baram, is developing an offshore wind farm near Jeju Island. Once completed, it will be the third offshore wind project in South Korea with an expected installed capacity of 100 MW. The country has chosen a sustainable course with lots of offshore wind. Since 2019, Pondera has been supporting the consortium together with Korean engineering firm Hanmi Global. Pondera has been designated as the owners engineer within this consortium. As such, Pondera performs checks on the contracts, performs project management and supports Hanmi Global in performing construction work. This project is primarily executed from our office in Seoul, but our Dutch colleagues also travel regularly to South Korea.
