From 2023, a new wind farm consisting of 20 turbines will be realised on the beach and dykes on the Second Maasvlakte. With over 100 MW of installed capacity, it is the first larger project that has been put on the market via a tender. Preparations for this tender already started around 2013. Eneco won the tender in early 2020 and will build and operate the wind farm. Eneco supplies the generated power to Rijkswaterstaat, which thereby obtains one hundred percent sustainable electricity. Pondera has provided significant support to Eneco in the tender phase in order to arrive at a winning bid. Pondera is currently preparing permits and environmental impact assessments for Eneco. Pondera is also involved with the contracting of the wind turbines.
