Windpark Westfrisia B.V. has a wind farm on the Westfrisiaweg (N302) in the municipality of Medemblik, consisting of five wind turbines developed in 2019. The initiative has a long history and meets the requirements of a so-called transitional arrangement of the Province of Noord-Holland. A Provincial integration plan has therefore been drawn up under the Provincial coordination scheme. Pondera supported the initiators during the EIA assessment and permit applications under this coordination scheme, as well as the environment management, in the form of participation in citizen platforms, consultation structures and broader communication. During the construction of the wind farm, Pondera carried out the permit and HSE management on behalf of the client. Pondera is also involved during the operational phase providing environmental management advice (noise mitigation and shadow flicker).
