On Wednesday 8 October, the Raad van State (Council of State) gave the green light for both the solar park and the wind farm of Energy Park A59 in Oosterhout. This means that the permits are now final and both projects can go ahead. An important step towards a sustainable future for the region!
Pondera supported initiator Eneco with the wind farm within this project. Our contribution consisted of supervising the spatial planning procedure, applying for the necessary permits and conducting technical studies. We look back with pride on an intensive process in which we worked together with Eneco on a robust and future-proof plan.
"I put a lot of (sustainable) energy into it myself," says Marjolein Pigge, project manager at Pondera. "Fortunately, with good results!'’
The A59 Energy Park is a joint initiative of the municipality of Oosterhout and Eneco. The park will generate approximately 73 GWh of renewable energy annually, a substantial contribution to the municipal target of 192 GWh. In addition to energy generation, work is also being done on a Sustainability Fund, which will use the proceeds to benefit local initiatives.
Pondera warmly congratulates Eneco on achieving this important milestone and looks forward to the further realisation of the A59 Energy Park.
