On 4 December 2024, the State Council decided that the environmental permits for the placement of two wind turbines at Oslokade on the industrial site in Kampen are final. Initiators Waterschap Drents Overijsselse Delta and IJsseldelta Wind B.V. can proceed with the preparation of their plans.
Expanding of wind energy in Kampen
Currently, there are already four wind turbines on the industrial site. IJsseldelta Wind B.V. wants to install an additional wind turbine near the IJssel Delta Terminal. The Water Authority has plans for a wind turbine on the sewage treatment site. These two wind turbines will make an important contribution to the ambition of the municipality of Kampen to be completely climate-neutral by 2035.
Environmental permission
Pondera supported the initiators in the search for a suitable location on the industrial estate and the submission of the permit applications. This search is not always easy on an industrial estate, but the State Council's assessment has shown that the plans meet the requirements for good spatial planning and that the process was carefully considered.
Pondera congratulates the initiators and the municipality on this positive result and important step towards a climate-neutral Kampen in 2035.
