We are proud to announce that Pondera, in collaboration with Arcadis and CE Delft, has been commissioned by the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth to conduct a preliminary study into Diepe Aanlandingen.

In this study, we will investigate where offshore wind energy can be connected to the national electricity grid in the south and east of the Netherlands in the future. This is being done in follow-up to the VAWOZ Programme, which is investigating connection locations in the coastal provinces and Moerdijk.

We are investigating which locations further inland may be suitable for connection and which possible routes the cables could take. Together with the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth, TenneT and the provinces involved, we are looking at which options need to be investigated further. We are also investigating whether the follow-up procedure will take the form of a programme or a (broad) project procedure.

With this preliminary study, we are making an important contribution to strengthening the Dutch electricity grid and connecting offshore wind power. We look forward to getting started on this project!
