At Pondera, we encourage equal opportunities and diversity in the workplace, we welcome candidates from all backgrounds.

Acquisition in response to this advertisement is not appreciated.

Pondera

Pondera Consult was founded in 2007. As a relatively young company, founded on a wealth of experience, we contribute with our clients to sustainable solutions to energy, climate and environmental issues. This includes large and small projects in the field of solar energy and onshore and offshore wind energy, hydrogen and energy storage. Offshore wind energy is going to make the difference in the energy transition worldwide and in Europe and the Netherlands in particular. We are involved in an increasing number of offshore wind energy projects worldwide as a consultant, as a partner of large energy companies and as an investor in our own projects.

We are growing!

We are looking for people to grow with us and help realise Pondera’s ambitions in wind energy projects. This particularly relates to the phases following the initial developments of the lots on which wind farms may be built. For example, you work on designing or contracting the wind turbines, foundations and/or cabling. Or you will be involved in coordinating the contractors and/or turbine supplier during the realisation of the project. Besides working together in the client’s project team, you will work closely internally with highly experienced offshore professionals from Pondera. On our projects, you will be a member of our Contracting, Construction and Operations team, and will collaborate with colleagues the from team Environment and Consenting when applying for permits and with the team Data-analysis and Modelling

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has the confidence to take the lead in a complex environment. You derive satisfaction from thinking in terms of solutions, going the extra mile together with skilled and enthusiastic colleagues in order to ultimately realise a project.

Experience is required for this role. We expect you to have around 3-5 years of relevant experience with the development of offshore wind projects.

What does this job involve?

You will guide our clients and colleagues in making mainly technical (design) choices and/or supervise the project technically during execution. Depending on the project, this may be highly multidisciplinary (onshore projects), but it may also be specifically about foundations, wind turbines, electrical systems or transport and installation, as is often the case with offshore wind farms. You apply your knowledge prior to construction, during the design phase as well as during the construction of the projects.

Safety, quality, contractual agreements, budget and planning all play a role. You like to take the lead in this by supervising the projects properly, directing the contractors, suppliers and team members, depending on your experience you take the lead or you are a developer here.

During project realisation and construction, you and the other team members represent our client. For this, you liaise with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders. For example, during the tendering process. In addition, you assure the technical knowledge is available from the tender and preparation phase to the execution of the projects. During the various stages of a project, you make use of the knowledge you have acquired and, together with the team, contractors and client, you know how to make the right choices.

Knowledge and skills required

We would like to meet someone who:

  • is particularly enthusiastic about what is described above;
  • has completed a relevant technical academic education;
  • has experience in the realisation of relevant projects;
  • has the right attitude: someone who is self-propelling and dares to ask questions, likes to learn, thinks outside the box, is enthusiastic and entrepreneurial and feels a strong sense of responsibility for the work being done;
  • would like to develop further in the field of energy transition;
  • has good communication skills in Dutch and English.

What do we offer?

In addition to working at our 16-year young company, where there is every freedom to develop and where job enjoyment is truly a key element, we offer:

  • a good salary and fringe benefits, such as laptop, telephone, excellent pension scheme and a good travel/home office allowance;
  • working with a young, knowledgeable and driven team of professionals, who together also engage in activities outside work, such as drinks, dinners and the annual winter (sports) holiday;
  • generous development opportunities in a growing organisation and market;
  • a multitude and variety of sustainable energy projects we are proud to work on;
  • a modern architect-designed office right next to Arnhem Central Station; hybrid working was something we did long before corona and is nothing new to us;
  • a lease car or lease bike in accordance with Pondera’s mobility scheme.
