Leila Siebke has started her work as Energy Systems Engineer in the team Data-analysis and Modelling in August 2023. With her interdisciplinary background she is able to work on various projects. With her work she wants to bring a little contribution to changing current systems that allow us to live in a just way within the planetary boundaries. Leila has a passion for quantitative work, enjoys teamwork and making connections between disciplines, sustainability goals or stakeholders.

Education and previous employers

Leila completed her master’s degree in environmental sciences, with a focus on energy and materials, at Utrecht University. Prior to that, she did her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, specializing in energy technology. She gained valuable experience at a large research institute, a dynamic scale-up as a business analyst and as an assistant in a consultancy. She has also been involved in various practical student assignments and volunteer work.
