Mark Rijntalder joined Pondera in September 2021 as a Wind Resource & Energy Systems engineer. From his multidisciplinary undergraduate and technical background, Mark is passionate about developing renewable energy projects. During his studies, he gained a lot of experience with the various wake effects of wind turbines. He also works within Pondera on energy yield calculations and technical analyses for wind farms.
Education and employers
Mark, after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Advanced Technology, completed the master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He completed both studies at the University of Twente. During an internship, Mark researched various innovations for and within offshore wind farms for Eneco. For his graduation project he researched at Pondera when different wake models are applicable. His focus for this research was mainly on the Strekdammen area.
