On February 28, 2024, Eco-Runner Team Delft presented the design of the Eco-Runner XIV. As a proud sponsor of Eco-Runner Team Delft, Pondera attended this presentation.  

The Eco-Runner Team Delft is a team of enthusiastic students from Delft University of Technology. Every year they design the most efficient hydrogen-powered car possible. They participate with this car in the annual Shell Eco-marathon, an international competition in which teams from all over the world compete to design and build vehicles that can run on different fuels in the most efficient way. The Eco-Runner XIII, the preceding Eco-Runner XIV, broke the Guinness World Record in 2023 by driving more than 2,450 km on less than 1 kg of hydrogen. A special feature of the Eco-Runner XIV is that it is streetlegal. With this car, Eco-Runner Team Delft will drive a new world record. 

 Pondera started sponsoring Eco-Runner Team Delft last year. Jeroen de Veth, Team Manager of the Team Data Analysis and Modelling at Pondera, is very enthusiastic about the collaboration: The students already delivered extremely impressive work”. The ambition of Eco-Runner Team Delft to build a sustainable future closely matches the vision of Pondera. In addition, Pondera, as well as Eco-Runner Team Delft, sees great potential in the use of hydrogen in energy transition. Pondera believes that stimulating young talent with innovative ideas is important.
