Pondera Consult, together with its subcontractors DWT and OutSmart is pleased to have concluded a Sub-Consultancy Agreement with Korean company Yooshin Engineering Corporation for the Wando Geumil Offshore Wind Project in Korea.

End client Wando Geumil Offshore Wind Co. (SPC), whose majority shareholder is KOEN (Korea South East Power Co. Ltd.), requested Operations & Maintenance (O&M) strategy consultancy services for its windfarm and awarded the Consultancy Agreement to Yooshin where Pondera is honoured to support main contractor Yooshin on their valuable project with KOEN.

Topics which come to the fore are classification and definition of O&M services, required technology and equipment, technical manpower planning, benchmarking and handover strategies when going from EPC to O&M phase.

For local vessel acquisition strategy the renewable offshore brokers from GRS will support Pondera and DWT with a market screening. Pondera, DWT and OutSmart will also dive into training programs for securing technical manpower.

The project has started end of last year and the project timeline will be approximately 12 months. The aim of the project is to determine an O&M strategy for all facilities related to the windfarm. Pondera looks forward to working with the partners in order to make this project a success!
