Last week Pondera Indonesia participated in the official handover of The Wind Energy Development in Indonesia: Investment Plan project results to the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (DJEBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR). The project is led by the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP), a program of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and initiated by MEMR. This marks the final event of the Wind Power Technical Working Group (TWG) event series.

Key results

Pondera as ETP’s implementing partner support the delivery of the presentation on the study’s key results. The presentation highlighted the four components of the study and their interlinkages within the onshore wind sector. These components are:

1. The creation of a sectoral roadmap

2. The assessment of permitting and regulations

3. Pre-feasibility studies on eight potential sites

4. The guidance to investment opportunities and financing

These reports are intended to draw in investors, developers, and funding institutions to enhance the development of Indonesia's wind energy sector. The release of these documents signifies a major step in Indonesia’s wind energy sector. At Pondera, we remain fully committed to driving forward the energy transition in Indonesia, working alongside our partners to build a more sustainable future. Together, we will continue to turn renewable energy potential into reality.
